Schools & Education

Demopolis is proud to be home to an award-winning public school system dedicated to academic achievement and student success. Serving more than 1,776 students, Demopolis City Schools includes U.S. Jones Elementary, Westside Elementary, Demopolis Middle School, and Demopolis High School, a recipient of the prestigious National Blue Ribbon Award.

The success of our schools is strengthened by a supportive community and the Demopolis City Schools Foundation, which has invested more than $1.6 million in classroom grants since 1993. Together, educators, families, and community partners are helping shape future generations through a strong commitment to educational excellence.

Lastly, in exciting news for Demopolis and the State of Alabama, the Alabama School of Healthcare Sciences‘ new campus in Demopolis will open in 2027!
